Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1918

Got in on time for a change & found everything in the office topsy-turvey. The wind blowing at 34 miles per hour had broken all the windows on the Cherry St. side of the office & tore the cornice down. About 9:30 we were all told to go home until 2 P.M. Minnie Gross & I were in every Dept.  Store looking for a suit, but didn't get one to suite my price. Finally landed in Garfield Co. on 8th St. (Recommended by Josie Kessler) & ordered one for $30.00. Phoned office & was told not to return. Oh joy! We then went to Kilths (?) & saw a pretty good show. Was very tired when I got home & didn't eat supper. Went to S.R.'s (Sewing Circle) & met old crowd of boys. Stayed until about 1 A.M. & Bob took me home.
